Let's review each episode of the cult classic Viva Pinata TV series based on the hit game in (mostly)under 90 seconds!

A Terrible Tribute starts off Season 2, and not on a strong note. Hudson is on a This Is Your Life-type of show, where he's forced to watch as his embarrassing past is revealed to the audience. Including one secret that to this day he can't live down. So this episode is just a Hudson torture porn. The first minute is just watching Hudson having his dental work done incredibly painfully by Quackberry. To the point he loses an eye, that Quackberry then plays golf with. Normally, I appreciate when the show takes a darker tone, but this scene is completely senseless and I'm just left feeling uncomfortable. But not as uncomfortable as the next part, where it suddenly transitions into Hudson on the reality show, where he has to deal with embarrassing people from his past who are more than happy to delve into his cringy, regrettable teen life. And I'm just like, why are we watching this? Hudson's an egotistical jerk, but up to this point has had a heart of gold, and as far as I remember, hasn't done anything to screw over his friends, so I don't feel he deserves any of this! Especially having to be near his gross uncle or sexually harassed by his former high school crush! Now it does SLIGHTLY pick up in the second half, where Hudson has to face the fact that his big break only came because he permanently crippled his mentor. And, yeah, it is funny seeing this tuba horse hybrid stumbling around. But it's all forgiven and the two do a Brian and Stewie-style musical number. It's an ok ending, but it doesn't make up for the secondhand embarrassment that comprised the previous 9 minutes. And, sadly this segment sets the mood for the rest of the series. I wished for more episodes like Candibalism, and the monkey paw curled, because from here on out, the show takes a decidedly meaner and quote unquote "adult" direction with a lot of its writing. Which when done right, can still be entertaining, as we'll see eventually, but this, and quite a few following segments, are examples of it done horribly wrong. I just felt unclean watching this, and in terms of episodes that feel like they're actually part of the show, this is the worst one so far and never to be viewed by anyone. Also, the theme song is now the one from Viva Pinata Party Animals.
