A beautiful song played on the C6th tuning. I'm playing a 24 1/2" longsclae jerry Byrd Frypan. My bottom 6th string in tuned to C#. This rhythm track is available for free on my website at steelc6th.com. The tablature for C6th is available from Scotty's Music in St. Louis by Jerry Byrd (individual tabs).

I'm playing through a Roland MicroCube amplifier, which is baterry-powered. I'm using an Ernie Ball volume pedal. It's a bit awkward using a volume pedal while standing than sitting, but it's just a matter of getting used to. I feel lost without a volume pedal, which gives me complete control over my sound.

There's an island family behind me down by the sand and sea. They caught a bunch of fish and are scraping the scales off of the fish, which you can hear in my video. I gave the father a Gospel of John. He smiled and all his front teeth were rotted. My heart goes out to the island people. They were eating coconuts and happy to be cleaning the fish they caught, humble people. You can see the dad climb up the tree behind me in my video titled, "Beyond The Reef - Hawaiian Steel Guitar."
