This is a beautiful Gospel song, great for playing on lap steel. Bud Tutmarc (1924-2006) played one string perhaps better than anyone. I tried to play this song in his unique style of playing. I used a lot of vibrato, more than I normally use, which sounds great for playing single string work. It's a technique that faded away with most of the old time pros. I made this recording in hopes of recapturing that old-timey steel guitar feeling of decades ago. I enjoyed recording this song. And most of all, Jesus name is indeed wonderful.
