A fire broke out in a forested area in the Kıyaslar village locality of Mengen district in Bolu, and efforts have been launched to extinguish it.
Upon notification, teams from the Bolu Regional Directorate of Forestry and firefighting crews were dispatched to the area.
The teams began efforts to put out the blaze, which was spreading further under the influence of strong winds.
Water tankers were also requested from neighboring provinces for support, while the Mengen–Devrek highway was closed to traffic as a precaution.
