Azerbaijani gas transferred to Syria via the Türkiye–Syria pipeline has begun pumping to the Jandar Thermal Power Plant in Homs.

The valves were opened in a ceremony attended by Syria’s Deputy Energy Minister Ghayyath Diab and Homs Governor Abdulrahman al-Ama.

Following Jandar, the gas is expected to be pumped to the Nasiriyah and Tishreen thermal power plants in the country’s central region.
