At the Harran Ruins, one of the world's oldest settlements and listed on UNESCO's World Heritage Tentative List, the excavation team continues to uncover traces of history despite the dust and scorching heat.
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Önal, Head of the Archaeology Department at Harran University and Director of the Harran Ruins Excavation, told AA that the excavations are being carried out with funding from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in cooperation with the governor’s office and the municipality.
