Sir Robin Saxby was the founding CEO and Chairman of Arm, having joined Arm in 1991, and retiring in 2007. Since he left Arm, he has kept his hand in the industry both as an investor supporting entrepreneurs, as well as through institutions like the Royal Academy of Engineering and the University of Liverpool.
EE Times' executive editor Nitin Dahad caught up with Sir Robin in London, UK, in August 2026, to find out what drives him today and some of the activities he is still involved in, both in technology as well as academia. We also talk about some of his interests and passions, including his support for Liverpool Football Club.
