The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway operates scenic tourist trains along the Toccoa River on the former Marietta & North Georgia Railroad. These 26-mile trips run north from Blue Ridge, GA on what is today the Georgia Northeastern Railroad. With great scenic river views and an extended layover at the Tennessee border towns of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN, it's an excellent day outing.

White Pass & Yukon 2-8-2 70 originally operated in Alaska from 1938 to 1963. The 70 was brought to Tennessee in 1977 to join fellow WP&Y engine 192. Nicknamed Cinderella, this 36” narrow gauge steam train works hard as it leads the train up 2.5 miles up the mountainous grade.")

Based in Hartford, Wisconsin, Soo Line 1003 operates on selective occasions. On the weekend of November 12-13, 2022, the locomotive was steamed up to make an appearance on the Hartford Santa Train and then a Trains Magazine photo charter the following day. 1003 shatters the otherwise quiet atmosphere of the Wisconsin farmlands with its thunderous bark as it hustles a fast-moving freight train along Wisconsin & Southern rails.
Since being restored to operation in 1996, 1003 has operated at several different railroads in Wisconsin and has made special runs to Chicago. It is one of few steam engines that can almost always be seen pulling a freight train whenever it runs.")
