Kallablind [CnD]We started this project early February and wanted to achieve the first Sub 1:40 Fullclear. We achieved our goal ~2hours before EoD released. The Team is brought together by Members from [CnD] [Hs] [LN] [qT] [Rise] and [SC]. I am very happy that I got the Chance to play with these amazing people and players. Despite the horrible (personal) Wing 7 I'm very happy with the result.
Special thanks to Jinn for the Split Times Spreadsheet and to Lin and Luna for opening the Wings for us.
I was mainly playing Renegade with Staxe Mirage on SH and Largos and Daredevil in Wing 2.

Its definitely not as bad as people make it out to be, but its far from great. Its a bummer, that the CM doesnt port you to the boss, since the rest of the fractal doesn't really add anything to the CM.
Once we got a proper strat down the fight is very consistent. With us improving after every kill we could also handle the boss having some Envy stacks.
Anyway, our healer was usually the target of his Inhale skill, where he targets someone and consumes their stacks. Because of this we wanted our healer to pick up as little orbs as possible, preferably zero. Our healer did have toughness and was usually the first to enter the arena. This doesn't work 100% of the time, but its consistent enough. We assigned the Envy and Gluttony Orbs to two people. The Scrapper took Gluttony to make short work of the portals in the split phases, while i took Envy so cut down on some of the RNG of his Orb inhaling. The remaining two people took care of the other orbs. With both of them collecting they also usually had low stacks of everything, which makes his inhale less threatening if it wasn't on our healer. There isn't really more to say, its a pretty straight forward fight.

We could have optimized a lot of things better and could have aimed for a sub 5 min kill, but with the balance patch coming up next week this wasn't really feasible. Since this was a 2-day project, we choose some comfort DPS picks. Holo and DH (and Vindicator, even though it's not present in this run) are basically pulling the same damage. Two Specters are almost necessary to get a fast kill, since they have the fast majority of the CC. The reason we wanted our Specters to be DPS and not Alacrity was just a matter of survivability. If we had had Alacrity Specters, we would be forced to run Quickness Chrono and miss out on the Regen and Protection from the Quickness Heralds. It's doable, but again out of the scope of this project. Besides Protection and Regen we sustained ourselves with All Wells and Well from the Chronomancers and the Healing Well from the Specters.

Use Warhorn 4 to fear the seekers away from a safe distance. Since I had to use it for the CC in the Split as well, it got pretty tight, but you can technically still use F4 and buy some extra time. In the Splitphase you can give Alacrity to 2 groups, just make sure that you don't run away too far from the shades, as they will despawn otherwise.

There's a lot that could have been more optimized.
The greens in the preevent don't really matter that much. The most important part is, that one of the three greens in the preevent hast to collect one medium-sized orb. This way we always have the Messenger spawn near the Square green and I can pick it up with a well while doing the green at the same time. This way I get to do the green and can go back to Dhuum, while the Messenger despawns on its way to the throne. The last Messenger was taken by a Specter with Prepare Thousand Needles.
Except for me, every Scourge ran with Bone Minion, BiP and Sand Swell. Bone Minions provide a lot of extra Life Force, BiP is simply the best Utility skill you have for DPS and Sand Swell is used to bring out bombs instantly, break shackles and provide us with a faster 10% ritual.
For the 10% collection phase we had Untamed, Herald and I collect the orbs last. This way, the people that have a Sand Well/Shadow Step ready will get down first and can already start channeling the chains.

I thought it didnt cast, so i used it again which changed the whole timing.
Anyway, the goal of the competition was to kill SH as fast as possible, while killing the tormented dead as fast as possible. The longer the tormented dead are alive, the more time is added to your total kill timer.
Lamp 1 and 2 are pretty straight forward. You take 3 people, one with a blink and clear the rooms. Lamp 3 is where its getting interesting. One of the center rooms has 3 Champion Fire Imps, the last room has 2 Champion Karka. Both have pretty hard hitting skills, that are luckily projectiles. Thats the reason you see me run around with Ventari.
Lamp 1: Room 1 and 2 weren't clean, but its somewhat difficult to hit 2 adds with the dodge. The Destroyer Champion occasionally gets a buff that pulses some conditions, including weakness, around him. Only weakness really "hurts", which is why im running away from him from time to time. His other attacks can just be side stepped.
Lamp 2: The Champion Harpy really hurts and cant really be sidestepped. You have to kite her around.
Lamp 3: The Mordrem can slowly be pulled on top of each other and you can pogo stick them to death. The Oakhearts are close enough together to also pogo stick them to death, they do have a very nasty slap though.
Alacrity Specter is the obvious choice for such an encounter, since you provide a lot of CC on every breakbar. The main issue to solve as a Specter on this encounter is the Initiative + Well of Bounty. You want to use as many Headshots as possible, while also providing people with Stability for the Shockwave. Sadly Well of Bounty wont be ready for every Shockwave, so we casted it when the Bladesworn would Dragonslash without having Flicker Step ready. Everyone else is able to jump during their rotation. I tethered myself to the Scrapper, to provide additional DPS via Mind Shock. Scrapper has a trait that makes it deal more damage with Stability.

Due to this, we didn't really get to figure out rotations for P3, hence why this kill can be improved. We did have another kill later that evening with a better P3, but the kill was also slower.

I didn't expect Vindicator to be this good for kiting. In terms of DPS there's probably nothing that will beat a good Daredevil kite on this boss, but Vindicator is fun. I would say that P1 and P2 kiting was pretty decent. P3 on the other hand was horrible, which I'd mostly chalk up to me not knowing where the adds spawn. With 2 or 3 more tries, that would probably also look way better :3 Sadly, my rotation on the boss isn't really clean. I was a bit focused on cleaving the adds since I didn't want to deal with Qadim having stacks.

However, I eventually decided against it, as it doesn't really matter how fast i can get my first Dragon Slash in. I'll always only get one in the first phase. That's why I just took the extra power from the very beginning. With the opening you see in the video, you also ensure that your Dragon Slash doesn't hit right after the second boonstrip.
You can sometimes see me port away from Scarlet. This is so I can avoid getting the Exposed debuff from the shockwave, as just the Aegis doesn't work all the time. It seemed most consistent when I used the Aegis and then ported towards the shockwave. If you get hit by too many attacks, and you start stacking the exposed debuff this fight becomes extremely difficult on a class that can't move half of the time.

The PoV could have been a lot better with that, but overall i would say that the rotation is pretty clean.
Since green guardian takes a bit longer than blue we decided to share our FGS´ with the two Soulbeasts. They were able to precast FGS 5 for P3 into their Sic Em.

Its not a bad CM, but after Aetherblade Hideout i expected more. Then again, we were doing this specific achievement for almost 3 hours, so everyone who wanted it could get it. The last phase is mind-numbingly long. Especially after 10%, so that doesnt help with my impression of this CM.
Anyway, to get the Achievement you have to fail the CC on the three adds that tether to her twice. She will get 1 stack per add thats not being CC´ed. With each stack she deals 25% more damage and gets 25% increased defences. For us it was easiest to do the CC during the second phase and ignore it during the last phase, as she spawns 2 sets of adds there anyway with our current DPS.
The title is great, but im not a fan of failing mechanics and being rewarded for it.

I was a bit lazy with uploading. Anyway, I think Vindicator does best on the big Breakbar Bosses (basically Slothasor and Samarog). Which is pretty ironic considering the lack of CC the actual Elite Spec has. It provides amazing CC and can somewhat keep up with other classes in damage due to it providing AP. For this Boss specifically, Greatsword4 is also an amazing block not only against his tantrum, but also the shake.

Well, we finally managed to skip the third bubble and managed to push the timer to 1:37 because of that. We have swapped out one firebrand for a Scrapper, which is why one of the Renegades brings AP, while the other doesn't. Other than that, everything stayed the same. During certain points you can see me cast Razorclaw delayed. This is due to Matthias´ shield. The bleeding from Razorclaw only has a short duration, and I wanted to get the maximum out of it during his shield. Icerazors is a bit more tricky. The shard in the middle, fire tornadoes, poison cloud and the spirits sub 40% can eat attacks from your Icerazors, which is why you can't place it wherever you want. Additionally, I cast it futher away from Matthias during the bubble, to ensure more hits after his bubble is over. Icerazors shoots projectiles, so the further you cast it away from him, the later they hit.
Playing Renegade on this boss is quite fun. Fire Tornadoes, Stormcloud, the shard in the middle and the walking spirits can all steal hits from your Icerazors, which is why you should be very considerate where you place it. Luckily, except for the Fire Tornadoes, all of these mechanics are easily avoidable by smart palcement of your Icerazors Ire. While he has his shield, Matthias is immune to all damage. This includes damage from battlescars. To ensure better damage from Icerazors without having to delay it you see me place it further away (and once too far) multiple times. With this i ensure that more projectiles hit him after the shield is gone, therefore getting more damage. The shield is also teh reason I delay my Razorclaw from time to time. While you can still apply conditions in the bubble, the bleeding from Razorsclaw is very short duration.
After 40% i swapped to a reverse rotation more or less. Due to the nature of the fight and some slightly different 40% phase timings, the rotation is somewhat improvised. The goal of this is to ensure full range potential while he gets the bombs. This does allow certain classes to stay on the boss while the Renegades dont lose any damage.

I was one of the people responsible for Might. Through the Banner of Tactics it is possible to keep Might at 25 stacks with the help of Heroic Command, Blast Finishers from Mace 3 and Blood is Power from the Scourges. In addition, the two Might Renegades have given Alacrity at the beginning so that the Alacrity Renegades can press Orders from Above as late as possible. This allowed the two to use the first three Orders from Above in Kalla. The Might Renegades played with Assassins Presence, while the Alacrity Renegades used Thrill of Combat.
I unfortunately canceled Heroic Command after the Soul Split and forgot to use Breakrazor's Bastion to heal the Spirits from the Soulbeast.

For that reason, the Renegades precasted Orders from Above before the fight starts and also provide Alacrity during the fight whenever it's free to do so. With the timings we had it was always free to replace the last Icerazors Ire oh each phase with Orders. At best, we would have gotten one hit from it and that's it. I could have used Icerazors in P3, but was used to her phasing as quickly as the other 2 phases. Additionally, the Renegades providing AP also gave Alacrity once more during the Split, replacing yet another Icerazors. With 3 Cannons up and the debris falling down, Phase 4 adds a lot of pressure to the fight, which is why the Renegades used Breakrazors whenever possible to provide some extra sustain to their respective subgroups.
While I'm not quite happy with what I did (I easily could have avoided being hit by Kernan) it was still a fun little project.

We were working on some additional projects we had to drop, when we heard of a balancepatch coming soon. Due to that the last 10% arent exactly clean, but it worked out in the end. Dont use Sword 3 to dodge the knockback. The damage can be split between Hands, Blacks and Deimos, the position in which you come out is random so you might land in a black and damage wise it has to compete with Deathstrike and Chilling Isolation. Overall its not worth to use it and its better to just take the knockback and port back with Sword 5. Dont bother with Impossible Odds in the last phase. Pretty much standard Alacrity Renegade build with Force/Celerity on Staff and Incensed Response instead of Spirit Boon.
The road is casted for consistency reasons. Gorseval can change his opening a bit and depending on what he does you might not have Aegis. To minimize resets i decided to precast the road and use Stability from Darkrazors for Phase 2 and Phase 3. Since I can only use one F3 and one sword 4 per phase, I decided to wait and use these two skills only when I can switch to my third sword. Despite the delay both skills are still under the effect of Bane Signet. "Unfortunately" we became a bit too fast and I had to disable IO in Shiro to continue giving alacrity. If the squad is a bit slower Alacrity can be used in Kalla.
I had a try with 12.6k DPS in Area Stats. If IO doesn't need to be disabled, it might have been possible here as well.
