Small modular synth setups have always been my favorite. One of the ways I get a lot out of them is by using modules in ways that stretch beyond their primary purpose. Turns out filters make great sound sources too! 🎉

What 3 modules should I try next? Let me know in the comments!

PS: if you’re new to synthesis / sound design and you’re curious about how it all works, how this program I’m using works (VCV Rack), and how you can make your own sounds & patches… I put together a free mini course called “Your 1st Modular Synth Patch” that walks you step-by-step through the fundamentals of working with a modular synthesizer! AND—you can do the full course using a computer; no special gear required.

Go to my bio for the link to join the MINICOURSE for free!
