Moments later you can perform that exact same action and end up somewhere entirely different.
I’m always reminded of the way David Tudor would talk about his relationship to electronic instruments, as objects that can reveal to us what they want to hear, rather than us always telling them what to do.
It’s an approach I find super inspiring.
Naturally, one of the first things I was curious to try upon receiving this matrix mixer “Pathways” from @herbs.stones was using it for feedback patching…
What would happen if I used touchplates on the @makenoisemusic Pressure Points to dynamically re-route a whole bunch of feedback loops between FX pedals? 👀👇
Turns out, a LOT happens. And it’s just as weird, chirpy, chaotic, skronky, + surprising as I was hoping 😂❤️
