In case you missed it 👀 I recently shared a huge historical and musical deep dive into this incredible instrument (a vintage Buchla 200 system) on Youtube.
Link in bio if you’re curious to check it out! 🙂
Earlier this year I spent a week at Stony Brook University, working in their Electronic Music Studio with their vintage Buchla 200 Series modular system.
My goal behind creating this video was to give you an inside look at this extraordinary instrument, module by module, with detailed sound demos and stories about its design philosophy – and to help document this important part of history.
Huge thanks to @ryangaston and @buchlaarchives for their generous help with research and putting this project together, and to Daria Semegen and Stony Brook University for welcoming us in.
