The honest part: that electric range is only around 30 miles, which is modest for a 2026 plug-in, and the plug-in costs roughly ten thousand dollars more than the regular self-charging Sorento Hybrid. So the plug only pays you back if you can charge at home and most of your daily driving fits inside that window. Drive farther every day and a cheaper Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid goes about 45 electric miles for thousands less, though it is smaller and less plush.
