Introducing 2024 #astronautscholar Asa O'Neal from the @universityofkentuckyofficial!

Asa is pursuing a major in mechanical engineering and physics with a minor in mathematics. His research experience spans atmospheric science, uncrewed aircraft technologies and hypersonic re-entry at the University of Kentucky and NASA. During the summer of 2024, he used computational fluid dynamics to simulate airflow and icing in cryogenic CO2 scrubbers at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
