Introducing 2024 #AstronautScholar Luisa Mao from @UTAustin!
Luisa is pursuing a double major in computer science and mathematics with a minor in robotics. Her research experience is in computer vision, visual localization and visual foundation models for robust navigation in unstructured environments. She has worked with the Astrobee space robots (operating on the ISS) at the NASA Ames Research Center and completed vision-based navigation research in collaboration with the Army Research Lab.
