Introducing 2025 Astronaut Scholar Matthew Wanta from the United States Military Academy.
Matthew is pursuing degrees in both Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science. He has been building his coding skills through his personal projects but have applied them to research through a computer vision project focused on object detection and classification. He’s now leveraging those skills to develop a custom drone simulation software aimed at optimizing aerial search paths.
