The blue parrotfish is found in shallow waters on coral reefs in tropical and subtropical areas of the western Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. As their name suggests, they are blue in color, with a yellow spot on their head that fades as they get older. They grow to an average size of 30 to 75 cm, although some can reach up to 1.2 m. They have a large beak used for scraping algae and other small organisms from rocks. With their teeth, they can grind the rocks they ingest into sand.
During the summer, blue parrotfish gather into spawning groups. After sexual interaction occurs, the females deposit their eggs, which then sink to the seabed. The eggs hatch about 25 hours later. The blue parrotfish is found in waters ranging from 3 to 25 m deep, from Maryland in the USA to Bermuda, the Bahamas, and as far south as Brazil. They are abundant in the Caribbean but do not appear anywhere in the Gulf of Mexico. Their young can often be found sheltering in beds of turtle grass, spending about 80% of their time searching for food.

Py Noos is more than 10 ft long, 5 ft in girth, and has been happily living in the depths of the Fraser River for an estimated 80 years. The strange shape of its nose could be the result of a fight or accident at some point in its life.
White sturgeons are now an endangered species, mostly due to overfishing. They generally grow to around 5 ft in length, although the largest recorded white sturgeon weighed almost 1,800 lbs, measured 20 ft long, and was said to be 104 years old. Py Noos still has some growing to do to beat that record.
