Belonging to the 14th Century, The Sroda Treasure consisted of 3,000 silver coins, a gold crown, three decorated rings, two gold pendants and several gold coins (money). In June 1985, construction workers who were working at a demolished telephone exchange building in the town of Sroda in Poland found thousands of gold and silver coin. Initially, no archeological study was done in the area. Later, in 1988, when more artifacts were discovered, archeologists began to work on the site and the then government planned on retrieving any missing items. King Charles IV of the House of Luxembourg was the rightful owner of this treasure. It can be viewed at the Regional Museum in Sroda Slaska where it is displayed publicly. What about metal detecting?
6.The Cuerdale Hoard
Considered as one of the largest silver hoards that belonged to the Vikings, Cuerdale Hoard included over 8600 items. In May 1840, these items were found at the bank of River Rubble located in Lancashire, England. At that time, construction workers who were repairing the river embankment came across this treasure. It was enclosed in a lead box and during excavation each worker was able to secure a coin for themselves. The Cuerdale Hoard contained silver coins, jewelry, hacksilver and ingots. Today, most of it is preserved in the British Museum in London and a smaller part of this hoard is displayed at Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.

Odyssey Marine Exploration, Inc. is a Florida treasure hunting company that found and excavated around US$500 million worth of coins from ocean floor in 2007. The details of this project, named “Black Swan Project”, were initially kept confidential. It was one of the most controversial discoveries made in the recent decade. As soon as the hoard was discovered it was shipped to US by Odyssey and the shipment alone costed the firm around $2.6 million. While the story was unravelling, Spanish Government stepped in with its claim that the artifacts belonged to Spain and were transported on Spanish frigate Nuestra Senora de las Mercedes in 1804. This led to a lawsuit against Odyssey which lost the case and had to pay $1 million to the Spanish Government.
4.Ringlemere Cup
In the Ringlemere Barrow in the English county of Kent, Mr. Cliff Bradshaw made a wonderful discovery using his metal detector back in November 2001. He found a Bronze Age vessel which later became known as Ringlemere Gold Cup. A single piece of gold was hammered in order to create the structure of the cup in 1700-1500BC. Although the cup got damaged during excavation, it was still able to retain its height of 14cms. According to Archeologists, the Ringlemere cup was not placed with a body rather it was an object of religious offering. Similar shaped cups were also found from different parts of Britain.
3.Hand of Faith
The world’s largest gold nugget aka Hand of Faith was discovered in September 1980 by metal detectorist named Kevin Hillier. It weighed around 27kgs and was found in a standing position only 12 inches under the surface in Victoria, Australia. Kevin sold this unique nugget to a famous casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. He sold it for around US$1 million. The hand of faith is currently as display at the hotel of this casino. The nugget is protected by glass and is constantly monitored by security cameras. In November 1992, Eric Lawes used his metal detector in order to find the largest hoard that consisted of thousands of silver and gold coins from the Roman Empire. It was located near the village of Hoxne in the Suffolk County Council, England. The value of this expensive hoard was initially calculated in 1993 by the Treasure Trove Reviewing Committee. According to this committee, the Hoxne Hoard was worth £1.75 million. In addition to gold and silver coins, the hoard included silver spoons, pepper pots, silver locks, jewelry items and around 25 bronze coins. This marvelous and amazing discovery can be viewed at the British Museum in London where it is permanently displayed since 1994.

15. The Hamburglar Strikes!
Anyone who has ever been to a McDonalds knows that they have some very memorable characters. Including one that is very mischievous in the form of the Hamburglar. Which, as the name implies, is a character that likes to steal hamburgers from the fast food chain.
What does this have to do with Wal-Mart? Simple, a woman walked into the store one day and was basically dressed as the Hamburglar. Why they thought that this outfit was appropriate for a Wal-Mart is a mystery lost to time. But theres no doubt in anyones mind that this is rather hilarious. Especially when you consider that just behind this woman is a sign for a Big Mac.
Which proves that even the universe likes to create perfect moments inside a Wal-Mart. Although, without the person taking the shot, the moment may have been lost forever.
14. The funny Man In A Dress lol ( meanwhile at walmart..)
As a popular meme would say...but why though?
Here we have a man going about his day in Wal-Mart, but with one very key difference. Mainly, this man isnt in what you might call standard attire. Instead, this man (who is clearly in his sixties) is wearing a dress. The public reaction..
No, really, hes just going about his time while wearing a basic spring dress. And for those who are glad its a still image, youll notice that the skirt of the dress is pretty low cut. Why this man, who is complete with long beard, would want to wear such a thing is beyond me. My guess is that somewhere along the line, he lost a bet, a very big bet. Else, why even bother?
What might get lost in his dress wearing though is that he actually is wearing shoes to match the outfit. No matter the reasons, this is one image youll likely not get out of your head very soon.
13. The T-Rex ( strange)
Its a hard life being a dinosaur. You were the dominant species in the past eras of the world, then a meteor and an ice age wiped out most of your species and other dinosaurs and now youre forced to live life amongst humans, including going to a Wal-Mart to shop for now basic necessities. Its so tragic that this T-Rex has to go and belittle itself when it...wait, what? Oh, thats not an actual T-Rex? Thats just a guy in a T-Rex suit? Duly noted.
Truthfully though, these dinosaur suits have been all the rage the past few years. They dont just show up in places like Wal-Mart, theyre at Comic-Cons, sporting events, and one person actually took on American Ninja Warrior in a dinosaur suit, and succeeded!
What really makes this picture worth it though is that there are two older ladies next to the T-Rex and theyre just as perplexed as we are as to why this person is there in Wal-Mart in the outfit.
In this case, you honestly have to wonder why Wal-Mart actually let him in. It honestly is kind of a security risk if you think about it.

12. Father Of The Year
For all you parents out there, or people who are thinking of having children, you know better than most that the worst thing to do when you have a young child is go shopping with them. Theyll often never be quiet, ask and beg for things youre not going to get, and then whine and cry when you dont get them. its a never ending and honestly exhausting thing, but, you still have to do it.
But for this guy? Yeah, he takes things to another level, because whether this picture is to be believed or not, hes not paying attention to his child, and is having them try and push the cart theyre on instead of leading them ride inside the basket.
Again, we dont have the context here, but thats not exactly the proper way to treat a child. Even if hes playing a game, this can end badly REALLY quickly. Guess well have to hope it ended well for all parties involved.
11. Too Much Skin
Its a fact of life that people can have all kinds of body types, and should be comfortable with them even at their worst. Or at the very least, if they arent comfortable, be willing to work hard to get better so that they can be more comfortable. However, if you are a person who has an excess of body shall we say it is common courtesy to make sure youre clothed enough to not expose all of said excess.
This lady didnt get that memo.
To be honest, I dont even know what Im looking at for the most part. Thats a lot of back skin, and that thin top is not concealing it well at all!
Know your limits, and make sure to respect others with your clothing choices.
