Rikki Poynter | 2 Deaf People Robbed At Boston Burger King @rikkipoynter | Uploaded December 2023 | Updated October 2024, 11 hours ago.
Correction-
The two victims were outside of the Burger King when it happened. But chances of the two suspects seeing them sign to each other are still high. Again, no way to know for sure, but it’s always a possibility since it’s not the first time this has happened.

Transcript:
So, recently, a deaf man and a deaf woman were violently robbed at a Burger King. So violently robbed to the point that the deaf man who was attacked did end up having a stroke from it all. And being robbed is scary for anyone, but it’s especially scary when you’re deaf or just disabled in general. You know, you’re not gonna really know what’s gonna happen until it happens. I’ve been yelled at by people in an alley in Toronto and that scared me so, you know, I’m having to watch my back and other deaf people have been attacked too. And the article doesn’t say outright that they were targeted for being deaf, but I have a feeling that because, you know, they were probably signing to each other in the Burger King, you know, and gesturing to the cashiers that they’re deaf, so the two people that robbed them probably saw that and thought, yeah, those two are gonna be easy targets.
