In this video, I take Moose — my custom Sprinter van camper — up to the charming town of Elmvale, located in the Township of Springwater just north of Barrie. My plan? Explore the town, support local mom-and-pop restaurants, walk the snowy main street, and find the best stealth camping spot for the night.
We check out Elmvale’s classic Queen Street East, visit local shops, stroll past historic century homes, and take in the small-town Christmas charm. Then it’s time for dinner at Roomis Grill House, where I dive into a rich French onion soup and one of the best shepherd’s pies I’ve ever had. If you enjoy Canadian comfort food, you’re going to love this segment!
But the real surprise hits when a massive Christmas snow squall rolls in out of nowhere — turning the entire town into a winter wonderland! ❄️🌨️ I dig out the van, grab a Tim Hortons coffee, and search for the perfect stealth camping spot while the snow keeps piling up.
