"-32º Cold Town Winter Van Camping • Huntsville VanLife"
Join me for a full winter adventure as I hit the snowy highway and head north for another stealth camping trip in Huntsville, Ontario — a town that transforms into a magical winter wonderland during the holiday season. This hour-long vlog is packed with Canadian food reviews, mom-and-pop restaurant visits, Christmas attractions, and a full behind-the-scenes look at surviving a brutally cold night on the road.
We kick things off with some wild winter driving before escaping the weather and heading deep into cottage-country snow squall territory. The first stop of the day is the incredible Muskoka Stuffed Cookie Company, a family-run bakery known for massive two-pound stuffed cookies, creative flavours, and a warm hometown welcome. You’ll get an inside look at their shop, their holiday treats, and some delicious free samples.
Next, we explore downtown Huntsville, checking out the snow-covered streets, Christmas decorations, local shops, and the freezing temperatures that hit close to –19°C with the windchill. After sightseeing, I warm up at the legendary Moose Delaney's, a 30-year local favourite known for burgers, wings, and comfort food. I dive into their “Made in Canada” burger complete with real cheese curds and a huge side of poutine.
Then it's off to the magical Forest of Light at Sandhill Nursery — an immersive Christmas trail filled with glowing pathways, story narration, firepits, and thousands of lights glowing through the snowy woods. It’s one of the most unique holiday attractions in Muskoka.
Finally, the video wraps with scouting the perfect stealth camping spot and prepping for a freezing overnight stay before breakfast at a local diner in the morning.
