Join me for another winter stealth camping adventure in Ontario, Canada, as we head to the tiny and historic town of Creemore, Ontario for an unforgettable cold-weather van life experience. Known for its famous brewery and small-town charm, Creemore is the perfect backdrop for a cozy minivan camper stealth camp in freezing temperatures.
In this episode, I explore downtown Creemore along Mill Street, grab dinner at the incredible Old Mill House Pub, and enjoy a hearty meal featuring butter chicken soup, top sirloin steak, crispy fries, and locally brewed craft beer from Creemore Springs Brewery. Nothing beats having a Creemore beer in Creemore itself!
After dinner, we tour the brewery grounds, check out North America’s smallest jail, and prepare for an overnight stealth camp in sub-zero temperatures. With propane heat, layered winter gear, and a cozy van setup, I settle in to watch the classic western The Good, the Bad and the Ugly before temperatures drop overnight.
But the adventure doesn’t stop there — I wake up to unexpected snowfall and active snow plows clearing the lot! From brushing off fresh snow to exploring the historic log cabin and smallest jail, this episode captures the beauty of small-town Ontario in winter.
The morning wraps up with a warm latte and blueberry lemon scone from the charming Bank Cafe, proving once again that Ontario’s small towns are full of hidden gems.
