We are trying to figure out the most environmentally-aligned yet safe option for our pathways. Should we use concrete and stones, or ironwood from Borneo? Both options come with a range of advantages and disadvantages. There is no obvious answer, so this becomes an exercise in systemic thinking. In the end, we arrived at a solution that feels good while also acknowledging its imperfections.
