"A bunch of white dudes coming to Bali trying to make a bargain" - this is the energy behind a lot of real estate projects here on the island.
An approach that needs to be left behind. Instead we should come from a place of humility. Of service to the local environment.
"How can we enrich the whole ecosystem?" is the appropriate question. Only then can all parts of the system truly thrive - including ourselves, since being of service together is the basis for true community, something that we are all longing for. This is the spirit by which CUSTODIA is driven by.

Each one of us is looking for community. For true belonging. For deep intimacy.
But how do we create that? Definitely not through the activities that characterize most so-called friendships - watching movies, shopping, going out for dinner. Or in more conscious circles attending a singing circle or a visit at that nice holistic spa. All of these are just shared consumption. Which can be nice, but won't lead to true community. For that to emerge, we need to be of service together. Putting our shared gifts to good use will lead to a feeling of companionship that no amount of shared indulgence can bring.
