Heeeeere we go! YES! YESSS! The new album from Zackariah "Zack Benlan" Benlan. Well, kind of album. It's a collection of short fragments from his legendary 2020-2021 SLiME sessions (RIP Wian Brilson). Supposedly, ZL. Benlan here recorded some 120 demos in this time! These are just a few of those demos, included here are mostly fragments, a continuing leitmotif called "Coming Back 2 U", and even two finished songs!
Seriously, though, Zack is one of my favorite musicians producing music right now (RIP to the Egg Punk scene), and this minialbum is just so fun! I keep starting and stopping production on a video about Zack, but I think to sum up my thoughts, it just feels so good to have a pure expression of the WEIRD and WACK(y)! The same way that the Eric Andre Show is this unfiltered, concentrated expression of Anarchy, Zack's albums feel like the little slimy gremlin in the back of my soeul clawing out to get me to say some joke that doesn't land.
So yeah, go buy this album, go listen to Zack's music and uh do some other third thing (I always start lists I can't finish)
