This bootleg's been around for quite some time now. I first found it in probably 2017 (just in time for the 10th anniversary!), after finding the tracklist on Allmusic. I eventually found the audio on Soulseek and have literally NEVER found it again. I wonder if the uploader had any other goodies we'll never hear. Will we ever hear the full BBC '05 set? Doubtful.
Regardless, this is a great record in time for Ariel. Here we see a very early, stripped-down lineup of a proper Haunted Graffiti band, this one with live beatboxing! The first incarnation of the band was formed in January '07, so I can't imagine they'd been around for very long by this point. I wonder if the beatboxing was special for this party. There's a lot of talking between songs from Ariel, something relatively rare for him. It's nice to see him interacting with the audience in such a friendly way. The setlist is really fantastic, a good mix of Worn Copy classics, as well as Doldrums hits, plus a very cool cover of Earth, Wind and Fire. That song was actually the only one I'd uploaded for the longest time, and it used to have a great comment from an ex-girlfriend apologizing for cheating on me.
Big ups to whoever preserved this fantastic moment in such great clarity!
