Man, what do I even say about this band? The Resource Network is an incredible Indianna punk group who're friends with Big Hog. Yeah, THAT big hog. This is the tape that first got me into them last july. A friend sent it to me on discord, calling it 'the genre-redefining egg punk release of the summer', and while I don't know if it quite redefined anything, this tape is NICE! Side A is a little three track demo with some great tunes (although I'm not the biggest fan of "Patriotic Pride", personally), and side B, listed on bandcamp as "tour only" (sorry guys) is a Live EP! Both sides are great shit, some of their best material, and it convinced me to see a concert with my dad!
The concert itself was nuts! Funky group of people, who were intimidating at first, but turned out really friendly! The mosh pit was insane, when Big Hog took the stage, it became a literal boxing match! After the show, I bought my TRN shirt and tape, and got to meet the band. The frontman called me a 'groovy little dude', and handed me the now famous* "microwaved" BIG HOG tape that Anti uploaded.
This tape itself is great too, I love the sound of it. How warped it is, makes it sound like some phantom keyboard is playing in the background! Easily one of the highlights of my collection!
