You don’t need a chopper to reach subjects, but hey, it helps…
We couldn't have picked a better day for it. We flew with @wanakahelicopters to a remote spot just under Dragonfly Peak, near Wanaka NZ. I found a little cascade I thought would make a great study, carving its way into the mountainside.
It’s always been my dream to paint a mountain from a mountain. You get some really interesting angles!
Some may say taking a chopper doesn’t count, It’s cheating, you gotta hike in - earn it… Tell that to my knees! Now I have my painting, I’ll go ahead and trace the photo later in the studio… LOL
