A midweek throwback!
This dials back to my time in Australia, in particular the Kimberley region of Western Oz.
This scene is a view taken from the mighty King George Falls, standing on top of the falls and looking due north, down the cliff-edged gorge.
Here in this painting, depth is everything!
I have mixed colours to achieve this and applied glazes, thin layers of paint have also added an atmospheric haze.
It all comes together to create that three-dimensional illusion.
