Pemmican is a great shelf stable survival food, and I'm excited to share its story. In this video, I'll be discussing the history of pemmican, its use in the Native American culture, and how to make pemmican in the wild for long term storage. I'll be using only a mortar and pestle to grind dried meat into a powder, a few pots to render animal fat, and the sun to air dry meat and sun dried fruit. This is a great primitive survival skill to have for a grid down scenario.
