The Hoodoos hike is a steep 3 km (1.9 mi) climb to one of Yoho's hidden gems. The trail starts easy, winding through an old decommissioned campground before crossing Hoodoo Creek on a footbridge. From there it's switchbacks through forest, gaining 460 m (1,510 ft) — most of it packed into the final steep kilometer. At the top, two short viewpoints let you see the hoodoos both from below and up close at eye level: towering rock spires carved by centuries of erosion, framed by valley and mountain views. This is a less traveled destination that we enjoyed in complete solitude.
