My review of Dan Gordon's novelisation of his own screenplay (co-written with Star Wars screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan) for the 1994 film Wyatt Earp. This biopic doesn't have the best reputation but the novelisation does a reasonable job of making a complicated life story accessible. Novelisations are often fairly average as books in their own right but Gordon's involvement on both sides of the creative process and acknowledgement of his historical sources might elevate this to a higher standard.
