Seagulls Gather | Rogue Ship by A.E. Van Vogt Book Review @SeagullsGather | Uploaded November 2022 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
My review of A.E. Van Vogt's Rogue Ship a rewriting of his three short stories: Centaurus II, Rogue Ship and The Expendables. This novel was released in 1965 in the USA and explores the politics (and many revolutions) of a multiple-generation journey to distant stars. The Lesbee family were supposed to captain the ship, called The Hope of Man, but when they are deposed Lesbee V attempts to win back his birthright. Alongside the political story the ship meets aliens, robots, breaks the light barrier and travels in time.
Van Vogt is often compared with his peer Robert Heinlein, does the book support the comparison?

My books, the British sci-fi comedy Professor Lovecraft, are now available on Amazon here: cutt.ly/W9GeO37
