Seagulls Gather | Star Trek: The Motion Picture by Gene Roddenberry Book Review @SeagullsGather | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
My review of the novelisation of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. This book was written by Gene Roddenberry and based on a story by Alan Dean Foster 'The Motion Picture' sees the crew of the original series of Star Trek reunited aboard the Enterprise.
Promoted to admiral, James T Kirk is miserable. When a crisis threatens the survival of Earth he jumps back aboard his old star ship and sets off to investigate. The powerful probe has already destroyed three klingon vessels, will it do the same to the Enterprise? Can they stop it before it destroys the planet?
