Here's something I happened to catch when I let a six-hour tape run after the noon news. It was Friday, November 4th, 1988, and the game show "Sweethearts" was so new that even host Charles Nelson Reilly doesn't seem 100% sure of the rules at times (something about celebrity panelists figuring out which of three contestant couples isn't really a romantic pair). The panelists are Marsha Warfield from "Night Court" (still going strong today at 71), Christopher Hewitt (died 2001), and Leslie Charleson of "General Hospital" (who died early this year, January 2025). CNR died in 2007.
I've left in the original commercials from WWOR, channel 9 out of Secaucus, New Jersey, serving the New York City metro area. They include many cool station promos, including a short one at the end for Sid and Marty Krofft's "DC Follies" with Mike Tyson, Don King and Fred Willard. The very end of a Barnaby Jones episode starts the video off.
