Here are some ABC promos taken from an early May 1984 broadcast of the miniseries "The Last Days of Pompeii." You can tell it was an all-important "sweeps month," lots of big episodes and specials for the end of the 1983-84 television season.
It opens with the first night's sponsors, then:
--Wednesday promo for "The Fall Guy" (with guest star Lindsay Wagner joining Lee Majors), and the "Dynasty" finale;
--"Arthur Hailey's Hotel" promo;

--Sports Update with Dick Schaap;
--Michele Lee is "Going Back Home" with Mr. T, Jacqueline Bissett, and John Ritter;
