WWF Wrestlefest was released for the Arcade by Technos in 1991
Run Time: 2m51s
Run Skill Level: Easy, but luck dependent.
This game was amazing. It is just beyond tragic that it never got a home console release in it's original form as it would have been much better for the Super Nintendo than the offering we got from Beam Software and LJN.
Tips about this game:
Ultimate Warrior is a fun pick. He has access to the body slam, he also has access to the snapmare, which after performing, if you leave the directional joystick/pad in a neutral position, you have a really high chance of lifting your opponent and setting them up for a body slam to the outside. That and it really feels like he gets the upper hand in grapples more often than anyone elseI could be wrong about this and it could just be bias.
When an enemy has low enough health, he has access to the gorilla press, and while you can't get the quick elimation with the gorilla press, you can still put the opponent in the diagonal downed position, setting up for an easy pin.
The only problem is if someone goes for a pin while you're in the middle of the move, as it will cause a glitch where neither person is able to pin the opponent.
You will always win the first grapple. This is great if your opinion is Hulk Hogan, Hawk, or Animal.
If you see a computer opponent coming toward you full charge, run! Either that or back off a bit and start throwing punches.
It's best to switch focus to a downed opponent whenever you can. You're less likely to get caught in a grapple that way.
