TOMBALL TEXAS - On the evening of September 3, 2026, around 7:50 p.m., Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to multiple reports of a white Dodge Ram 1500 driving erratically and recklessly eastbound on FM 2920 near Mueschke Road in the Tomball area, including crossing lanes, running other vehicles off the road, and traveling in the wrong direction. The truck was located at a Valero gas station in the 1600 block of FM 2920, where bystanders flagged down a deputy; the driver refused to stop, circled the station, and fled westbound, leading to a brief pursuit lasting less than two minutes at speeds of 40–60 mph. At the intersection of FM 2920 and Cypress Rosehill, the suspect accelerated, entered a northbound ditch, lost control, and struck a total of six stationary or eastbound vehicles. A 53-year-old Hispanic male driver was detained and taken to a hospital, with authorities believing he was under the influence and pursuing charges of evading and DWI; five other adults were also transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. The truck bore Michigan plates and was not reported stolen, and HCSO District 6 remained on scene investigating for several hours.
