Wrong way, right to jail!
On June 11, 2025, Edwin Cruz Gomez was spotted driving the wrong way on S. US HWY 441, weaving through traffic and doing wheelies on a dirt bike.
K-9 Cpl. Demarco caught up to him just as the bike went down. When Cruz Gomez tried restarting the bike, Cpl. Demarco tackled him—but the suspect fled on foot. In a bold move, Cruz Gomez tried to double back to the bike, but Demarco was right behind him and took him to the ground.
He was taken into custody without further incident and charged with resisting arrest and reckless driving.
