The Seventh Day Adventists were founded by William Miller in 1831. Miller insisted that observing the Sabbath Day was necessary for salvation. Mrs Ellen White became the prophetess of this cult from the 1840s, claiming new angelic revelations from trances and visions and that her revelations were infallible. But apart from the heretical teachings of Miller and White, the SDA insist on adding law to grace, an issue discussed in detail by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Galatians. Paul concluded that anyone who does this was ‘eternally cursed’ and fallen from grace.
