The Incarnation is the most important event in human history. Isaiah prophesied that the virgin would conceive and have a son whose title would be Immanuel, God with us. He also prophesied that a son would be given who was Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counselor, He would be the second person of the triune God. Micah told us where He would be born, Isaiah told us the purpose of the His coming into the world, and David described His death by crucifixion 800 years before that form of execution had been invented.
In the this 3rd lecture on Church History entitled ‘Immanuel: God with Us’ we will explore the life of Christ, His mission and teaching, His miracles and preparation for the new covenant, and what He meant with the words, ‘the Kingdom of God has come near’.
