Charles Taze Russell was a spiritually dead Calvinist who founded the cult of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He started publishing the Watchtower magazine in 1881, convincing gullible people that he was a Bible scholar, although he never learned either Hebrew or Greek. He denied the Trinity and divinity of Christ and taught that the angel Michael became Jesus Christ. His followers created their own version of the Bible which utterly contradicts the original manuscripts.
