No workbench is worth it's salt without a good top. Let's install one on this bench!!!

I start out but placing some 3/4 MDF on the bench. I need to do some cutting and fitting to get it set just right. Than it's onto the second layer.

The second layer is 3/4 HDF or Ranger Board. Again, since I am reusing the old bench top pieces, I need to do some stick handling to get these pieces lined up, fitting well and screwed down.

It was kind of sketchy at times cutting this material but I think I did a pretty good job. But as I was trying to sand it all off for a coat of Varathane the belt on the belt sander broke!! :-( It was my only belt too, so I had to pause the job till I get some new belts!!

Fear not though because the finishing of the bench top will be in an upcoming video!! Isn't that exciting!!

Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video. Please 'thumbs up' me and leave me some comments. And if you haven't done so already, please consider 'subscribing' to my channel. It sure helps my videos get noticed and my channel grow.

I hope you all have a great week.

We'll talk to yas ...
