As a sequel to my large (32cm) Walnut Bowl, here is an even bigger one (41cm) ordered by the Bosslady to store & display her knitting gear.
Its a rather flat piece with steep walls, you could almost call its a Tray. It also has a 'Floating Edge' which makes it seem as if the bowl is floating above the surface. Please watch the outside turning section to see how I did this. The most difficult part was to create a completely flat inside bottom. Try it yourself if you think that's easy! On this I guess I only partially succeeded but for its purpose it is sufficient. You can do a lot with sandpaper.

Let me know what you think!
