A storage box for sweets made from a piece of Hawthorne that my wife found herself more than a year ago. After being in my wood storage for the time in between, this wood was dry enough for turning. For boxes this is especially important. As I correctly assumed, the tight fit of the lid has already become looser while it is being used. This project came out OK and is now being used daily. For food safety reasons I did not apply a finish on the inside, just sanded it.
