Now as this project isn’t finished I don’t feel it should have its normal ending on it.
I think instead what I should do is take a moment and thank each of you for watching.

I enjoy making the shows and ..

As a matter of fact there have been several that I have gone back and watched several times!
His planning and skills are amazing

A couple of months ago I saw Carl Jacobson turn a teddy bear on his lathe. That got me to thinking about how I would go about that kind of thing. Well I rushed out to the shop and started at once! That was back in March and it is now August! It’s only been 5 months and I have got it in gear now! But of course when I shot this video… if you kept it under 20 minutes … things were cool!
Well that was then and this is now… and the aim is to keep it under 10 minutes! So I have taken my ten and then some… from what was already done… and have created a pretty fair face… now there is the task of getting the body and head to fit it!
And then there are arms and legs! This bear just never ends!
All of the hot glue joints came apart easily while at the same time the CA glue joints stayed firm. I am quite taken with the way this microwave method works.
There is a difference between the two videos this time… I thought of a cool thing I could add while I was working on the texted version. Of course in the process of putting the text in the last portion, I managed to cover my little animated face for the most part! Maybe this description will drive up views on this one! What is the Difference?
Frank Howarth takes video making to a different level! His skill with a camera is equalled by his skill with his tools! From the concept sketch to the finished product… I can’t think of one video that didn’t work! He is also able to capture the world from his children’s point of view… sometimes literally… and always with the end result of capturing the children’s interest. I remember my Grandfather making stop motion movies when I was 3 or 4 and they were just the coolest things… I will always remember them… and I think it will be the same for Frank’s kids… they will always remember the movies that Dad used to make!

Carl Jacobson has been on the other end of the shout outs before… and I would imagine will be again… as he is after all the owner of a Powermatic 4224B! I would imagine that thing weighs as much as two of my trailers! He has helped so many people in his career as a wood turner… not bad for a guy who is only 26!... and the good thing is that he is still trying to pass on whatever he can… it will be interesting to see the things that the new lathe will allow him to do!
