Wood Turning #76 Egg Cup
I hadn't done a normal egg cup so I thought it was high time I did!
This piece of Arbutus had a few cracks in it elsewhere... but I seemed to have dodged the bullet on this one!
I am always amazed by the difference in colour between green and seasoned wood... green this would be almost white!
This was designed with the farm fresh eggs in mind... it might be a little large for regular store bought eggs!
I thought I would add the transcript of the video in case it made it easier for translation to have a text file as well...

I'm going to try and make an egg cup...

Not an off centered egg cup...
I'm just going to make a normal egg cup...
Just because I haven't made one before...

I think before I get too carried away here...
I should probably go find and egg...
And find out how big they are supposed to be...
Hang on!
Well it looks like I've got a long ways to go...
Alrighty...
Want to go about that deep too...

Let's go deeper!
That's 48 mm...
Whew...
Still not...
Wow!!
And not deep enough!
OK...
Maybe just a little bit deeper...
Alright...
I think that looks good...
Thank you egg...
And let's do a little sanding...
on the inside of that...
and I'll be back.
OK set's see what happens on the outside of this...
And yes Mike...
I gave the tennis ball a brushing before we got going here...
Just so it'd be nice and clean!
I have only a very small amount of Briwax...
And when I say small amounts...
I mean small amounts...
But it should be enough...
So we will see what we can do here.
With a bottom like that ...
