The Drive
So right off the bat... I have to wonder if this was all worth it?!! This was the better part of 3 weeks of work... on the video alone! LuSea was finished before the end of May and I have been working on this ever since!!! I had been working on it in a normal fashion... but that was proving to be a very long video as I felt that this should be all one story... breaking it up would not increase viewership as far as I could figure! And then one day on a drive home... I thought well why don’t, I have the trip as a sort of glue to hold the whole thing together! I originally had in mind to have the videos revolving around a central pivot.... some sensibility remains in there somewhere!
As it is I think the more watchable of the two videos is the texted one... it turns out that talking across a room is not the best way to explain something! Another thing to mark up in the experience book! Being able to place the text where it originated from made it a little easier to follow as well! At first I was thinking about not doing a texted version as it looked pretty intimidating! It was actually nothing compared to the video! But now I know!
If I were to compare the two bears I have made... Cedric is certainly the more appealing. One thing he can’t do is stand by himself... but he can sit really well! LuSea can neither sit nor stand unaided... which has led to her having an 1/8” rod stuck up ..... installed... to remedy this situation! Her pose-abilty is quite limited as well... so I would have to give the better bear award to Cedric. There are things to be learned from this project and it will lead to a better bear next time!
I found it kind of funny that the drive had no other vehicles traveling in the same direction... but you could certainly tell that there was a fair amount of tourist traffic coming the other way... that’s when you have the bunches of cars... when you don’t know the road it can be a little tricky in places!
Harry Watts should make a very good channel for himself... it looks like he enjoys what he is doing and I am sure that we will find wonderful things in his Little Garden Shed Workshop! I like his no nonsense approach and I also like that he is finding wood to work on that isn’t being sold as the best piece in the world... but usually ends up looking like it anyway!
