frank howarth | Wood Turned Walnut Bowl with Diamond Pattern @frankmakes | Uploaded 6 years ago | Updated 10 hours ago
I have a walnut bowl that I roughed turned several years ago and it's now dry and ready to be finished. It is in good shape and has not cracked during the drying process. I decided to add 2 rings at the rim of the bowl. I wanted to do the segments with an angled cut to give the seams between the segments an angle. I used this to make a diamond pattern of padauk within walnut rings. The finished bowl is a solid walnut base with the rim of walnut with a diamond pattern.
