Description:
This video is all about carving a bowl out of a solid piece of apple tree wood, using Arbortech power tools. I´m using the the Arbortech TurboPlane for the most time, the Arbortech Ball Gouge for some detail work and hand tools for the final details.
The basic design idea was to carve a bowl with some type of a natural organic shape. Doing so, I followed the wood shape and the grain structure during the carving. Finally I added some stylized acanthus shapes to the corners.
The video shows the individual working steps and shall give you a good impression what you can expect by using the mentioned tools in your projects.
Keep in mind this is not a tutorial, only a demonstration how I did it, ment for entertainment. Please mind the disclaimer in the video description and take care of yourself.
